It used to be that using the internet was for scientists, college professors and other super-technical types. Today everyone has the benefits of the world wide web. The web is truly world wide. Search engine tools translate any language, high speed internet lets us watch movies and TV on our computers and smart-phones, and software lets us publish like world famous authors.
Students today have no excuses for less than A+ grades because of the entire libraries of information available on their laptops, notebooks and tablets. In between study sessions they can chat online, tell friends about their day through social media, and play online games with new friends in Russia and China.
Many of us pay bills, check our stocks and investments, apply for jobs and work from home, and manage our own businesses by internet. Some of us steal online. The internet is open to all, even the worst of us so be careful with whom you communicate.
The world wide web is really world wide and includes the space station. Higher speeds and software are making internet use easier, quicker and workable in places where electricity was a newcomer not too long ago. The world is a smaller and closer place now. Internet neighbors are a mili-second away and webcams let us share smiles. The internet has changed how we live and communicate and mostly for the better.
